Job Description: As a Civil Engineer with our company, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of our construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients to develop project specifications and requirements.
  • Conducting site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges.
  • Designing and planning construction layouts, including roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
  • Preparing detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Overseeing construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and quality assessments to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Providing technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the construction process.
  • Participating in project meetings and presenting progress reports to management and clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering, preferably within the residential property market.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working on projects within the £1 million to £7 million range is desirable.
